I note that texas has a ballot initiative to define marrage as between one man and one woman and make recognizing any other relationships similar to marrage illegal. It’ll probably pass, too, texas being texas and all. (We are talking about the state that is proud to have brought you dubya, after all)

most countries around the world don’t accept gay marriages, so it’s not really a surprise. It doesn’t mean those people are taking over…it just means that we’re all different, raised differently, with different experiences, and thank goodness we still live in a world where we can go places where we won’t have to compromise our beliefs.
