My top ten spots

1) Las Vegas, NV
You have got to be kidding me.

2) Honolulu, Hawaii
Too touristy

3) Little Rock, Arkansas
WHAT?

4) Albuquerque, New Mexico
They must mean some Albuquerque I’ve never been to..

5) Sacramento, CA
Okay, this one I can kind of see

6) Portland, Oregon
Hmm…

7) Las Cruces, New Mexico
I don’t think I’ve ever even heard of this one..

8) New Orleans, Louisiana
I imagine some of my friends find this amusing.

9) San Diego, CA
Again, I can see this..

10) Hartford, Connecticut
You know, I don’t think I’ve ever been there..

And.. apparently it didn’t quite make the top ten..

11) Orange County, CA

I don’t think I trust this report. Anything that didn’t list OC at all but listed Las Vegas? If it wasn’t for defcon, I would never go to Las Vegas – frankly, the place scares me..

Vegas fascinates me. I won’t be making it to Defcon this year…perhaps next year, when I am with a company that will send me to Black Hat again. Anyways, I don’t really gamble in Vegas, but I love to people-watch. I mostly walk around there, by myself, so I can move at my own pace…and look at what I want to look at. I wander from casino to casino, taking pictures and just staring at the interesting stuff. The Over-the-topness of everything there is just bizarre. But yea, I can only take it in small doses. I love looking at the freaks though…like the old women with blue hair in purple and gold sweat suits, and the husbands with the gold chains…trying to look the Vegas look. Anyways, I’ll have to make it a point to go next year…though I heard that this may be the last Defon…

Portland and Las Cruces. That’s it off the top ten. Maybe Hartford, and San Diego in a pinch. Sacramento if I’m heavily bribed. Las Cruces, btw, is up by Taos in Northern New Mexico, (you know, the part that’s burning right now)and it’s nice because it’s both deserty and mountainy and foresty. Sortof like Colorado, which it’s near to. Sortof a small town, though, if I remember right. I’m telling you, they have a jive on for Little Rock. I’m sorry, no one lives in Little Rock if they can help it.
