The following document is a DRAFT and should not be considered a actual licence agreement. Brass Rat Alternate Technologies (henceforth referred to as 'BRAT') grants __________________ (henceforth referred to as 'licencee') unlimited, nonrevokable, nonexclusive licence to produce and use the design of a distrubted battery management system (henceforth referred to as 'the product'), under the following terms and conditions 1) Licencee agrees that BRAT is not responsable for any damage this product may cause, including incidental or consequential damages. 2) Licencee agrees that if they are using this design in a commercial product, they will pay BRAT 1% of the gross (sale price) of the product, or 50 cents per module [whichever is lower] and pay Lee Hart and Ralph Merwin 0.5% of the gross (sale price) of the product or 25 cents per module [whichever is lower] 3) Licencee agrees that if Licencee is not Manzanita Micro, and licencee is using this design in a commercial product, licencee agrees to pay Manzanita Micro 2% of the gross (sale price) of the product, or $1 per module [whichever is lower] 4) Licencee is encouraged not to attempt to screw over these individuals or their employers, in the interest of seeing more products like this one: Lee Hart, Rich Rudman, Jon Pullen, Ralph Merwin 5) Until such time as the actual parts cost of developing the mk3 system is completed, licencee is encouraged but not required to pay $1 per module to BRAT, to pay for the hardware cost of developing the mk3. 6) Licencee is encouraged to modify the hardware or software to suit their needs. If licencee uses their technical 'legal out' to then claim the system is not the same as the mk3, and therefore needs no payment of licence fees, Licencee is encouraged to at least credit the design of the mk3 to Lee Hart, Jon Pullen [of BRAT], and Rich Rudman [of Manzanita Micro]
